How to read a timing belt size

A size like 1680-14M-50 means 1680 mm pitch length, 14M profile (14 mm between teeth, HTD curvilinear tooth) and 50 mm width. Tooth count = length ÷ pitch, so 1680-14M has 120 teeth.

Single vs double teeth

Double-teeth belts (marked D or DA) have teeth on both sides and drive pulleys on either face, for serpentine or reversing drives. They are not interchangeable with single-teeth belts of the same length.

Measuring a worn belt

Count the teeth and multiply by the pitch to get the length. Measure the width across the belt. Send us a photo of the printed marking if it is still readable.
